Your journey

How a Swiss care pathway is built

Six stages, each with a clear purpose, a clear boundary and one accountable coordinator throughout.

JV Healthcare is not an emergency service. If this is a medical emergency, contact the emergency services where you are now.

At a glance

From enquiry to consultation

The full pathway in one picture: what you do, what we do, and how we respond — including when we cannot help.

Privacy and discretion at every step. If we are unable to help, we explain why — and no payment is requested.

Private enquiry

A minimal, confidential enquiry establishes the service required. We collect contact details, country, language, service category and a short non-sensitive description. No medical records are uploaded at this stage.

  • No diagnosis, reports, scans or identity documents.
  • You receive a case reference, not a public profile.
  • A coordinator replies with the appropriate next step.

Consent & engagement

We confirm identity and, where someone acts for a patient, their authority to do so. You receive the scope of work, the privacy notice, the consent form, the terms and the initial professional fee.

  • Purpose-specific consent, recorded and revocable.
  • Representative authority captured where applicable.
  • Written scope before any clinical work begins.

Clinical triage

The authorised clinician reviews urgency, clinical suitability, whether care is better delivered locally, and whether a medical transfer may be required. Records are requested at this point through a separate secure route.

  • Travel-suitability assessment before anything is booked.
  • Honest advice when travelling abroad is not the right answer.
  • Secure medical-dossier compilation.

Match & plan

We identify the appropriate Swiss specialist or hospital, obtain a proposed pathway, a cost estimate and available dates, and present the options with their practical differences.

  • Independent matching — no incentive to prefer one provider.
  • Written estimate before commitment.
  • Acceptance by the provider confirmed in writing.

Coordinate

Appointments, secure document exchange, insurer, sponsor and embassy administration, approved visa-support documents, travel, accommodation, transfer, interpreting and family arrangements are put in place around the care schedule.

  • One coordinator accountable for the whole plan.
  • Sponsor approvals handled without the patient in the middle.
  • Itinerary issued before departure.

Care & follow-up

On-the-ground coordination during treatment, then discharge documents, return travel, remote follow-up and a structured handover to the patient's local clinicians — followed by a short feedback conversation.

  • Discharge planning starts before treatment ends.
  • Documents translated for the local clinician.
  • Follow-up scheduled, not left to chance.

Coordination and information do not guarantee acceptance by a specialist or hospital, visa issuance, insurer approval, travel clearance or any treatment outcome. The treating hospital and clinician remain responsible for diagnosis and treatment.

FAQ

Questions patients and sponsors ask first

Who does JV Healthcare support?

Private patients and families, companies and insurers funding employee treatment, and government bodies and embassies arranging care for citizens. Our current focus is a Cameroon-to-Switzerland pathway, and we support patients from other countries as well.

How do I start?

Send a confidential enquiry with your contact details, country, language and a short non-sensitive description of the support you need. A coordinator replies with the appropriate next step.

What if this is an emergency?

JV Healthcare is not an emergency service. Contact the emergency services where the patient is now. We can coordinate afterwards, once the patient is stable and under local clinical care.

Where do my medical records go?

Nowhere at enquiry stage. The public form does not accept records. After consent and engagement, records are requested through a separate secure route and are accessible only to the authorised people who need them for the stated purpose.

How quickly can an appointment be arranged?

It depends on clinical urgency and provider availability. We give you a realistic expectation for your situation rather than a promise we cannot control.

What does it cost?

An initial professional fee applies once scope and eligibility are confirmed. Treatment, travel and accommodation are quoted separately by the relevant providers, in writing, before you commit.

Can my employer, insurer or embassy pay?

Yes, where the sponsor supports it. We coordinate estimates, approvals and guarantee-of-payment documentation directly with them so you are not the intermediary.

Do you arrange visas?

We coordinate the medical invitation and treatment documents a consulate normally expects, after the provider has accepted the case. This is administrative guidance, not immigration advice, and no visa outcome is guaranteed.

Can a family member travel with me?

Yes. Companion travel, accommodation and documentation are coordinated alongside your own arrangements.

How is my confidentiality protected?

We collect the minimum needed at each stage, separate clinical information from marketing and contact data, restrict access to authorised people for the stated purpose, and record what was accessed. We do not claim absolute security; the Privacy Notice sets out exactly what is implemented.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, subject to the terms agreed at engagement and the cancellation rules of the provider, airline or hotel concerned. We tell you what a change will cost before it is made.

What happens after I return home?

You receive discharge documents, translated where needed, a scheduled remote follow-up where the treating team offers it, and a structured handover to your local clinician.
